- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager; all selections must win for you to get a payout.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to each team to eliminate the draw, making one side effectively start with a positive or negative goal advantage.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting activities.
- Bet Builder
- An online tool that lets you combine different markets from the same match into a single custom bet.
- Both Teams to Score (BTTS)
- A bet on whether each side will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- An option to settle your bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or cutting a loss.
- Corner Kick Over/Under
- A line set on the total number of corner kicks in a match; you bet whether the actual count will be higher or lower.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible match outcomes, increasing your chance of winning.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet where you win if your chosen team wins, and get your stake back if the match ends in a draw.
- Edge
- An advantage you believe you have over the bookmaker’s odds, often based on special knowledge or analysis.
- Fixed Odds
- Odds that are locked in at the time you place your bet, remaining unchanged even if the market moves later.
- Goal Line
- A total number of goals a bookmaker expects in a match; you bet on whether the actual total will be over or under that line.
- Handicapping
- The process of evaluating teams’ strengths and weaknesses to decide which bets are likely to win.
- In-Play (Live Betting)
- Placing bets on a match while it is already in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Lay
- To bet against a particular outcome, acting as the bookmaker and accepting stakes from other bettors.
- Margin
- The built‑in profit the bookmaker includes in the odds, expressed as a percentage of the true probability.
- Multi-bet (Parlay)
- A single bet that links two or more selections; all must win for you to receive a payout.
- Odds
- A number that reflects the likelihood of an outcome and determines how much you can win relative to your stake.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total goals (or another stat) will be above or below a set line.
- Pre-Match
- Bets placed before a match begins, based on the starting line‑ups and early odds.
- Rollover
- A requirement to wager a bonus amount a certain number of times before you can withdraw any winnings.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a particular bet.
- Unit
- A standardized bet size, often a small percentage of your bankroll, used to manage risk consistently.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability suggests, giving you an expected positive return.
- Void
- A cancelled bet where the stake is returned, usually because the event was postponed or the market was removed.
